Last week, I met Claire of Chanel Cosmetics. She has gorgeous, long hair that we decided to curl into beachy waves. We started by putting a dollop of Tela's Encore through the hair. The product is said to smooth frizzies - I also like using it to add a slight texture to the hair. We then wrapped 1" sections of hair around a 1.25 inch barrel curling iron. I misted each section with a light-weight hairspray before curling. As a final step, we gently brushed the curls with a boar-bristled brush to loosen up the curls and give it a beach-tousled effect. (A good, inexpensive one to try is Spornette's boar bristle teasing brush, available at beauty supplies for around $10). Finish by spraying with hairspray.
